Frequently Asked Questions
How many days do I need to see the best of the Austrian Alps in winter?
A week is the sweet spot: a city, a lake town, a glacier, a ski area and Advent or spa days, all in seven days if the route is smart. Only have three days? That works too. This is where we save you the most time: the right order, the shortest transfers and no half-days lost on connections you didn’t need.
Can I combine several regions and cities in one trip without a car?
Yes. Trains and buses connect Salzburg, Innsbruck, Zell am See and the ski valleys well. The trick is knowing which connection, which station and how to cover the last stretch up the mountain. We plan every leg for you, so you spend your holiday on the slopes and in the cities, not on timetables.
Do I need a different ski pass for every resort on a ski safari?
Usually not. For longer stays, one Super Ski Card covers ski areas across SalzburgerLand and Tyrol, including Saalbach, Kaprun and Kitzbühel. For shorter trips, a regional pass can be the better deal. We tell you which pass actually pays off for your route, so you don’t pay for mountains you’ll never ski.
When is the best time to visit the Austrian Alps in winter?
Late November and December bring Advent markets and the first snow. January has Kitzbühel’s big events and quieter slopes outside the holidays. February brings the most reliable snow, and March brings sunshine, long days and lunches on the terrace. Tell us your dates and we’ll make the most of them.
Is it worth coming if I don’t ski?
Absolutely. Christmas markets, thermal spas in the snow, glacier viewing platforms, frozen lakes, sleigh rides and two of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Some of our happiest guests never click into a ski.
What does Travel Sorted cost?
It depends on how much you’d like us to plan. Already booked your flights and hotel, and just want to make the most of your days? A personal itinerary starts from €79. Want the whole trip sorted, with several regions, cities, transfers and stays? Tell us what you need and we’ll send you a fixed price before you commit. Always clear upfront, no hidden costs.
What do I book myself?
That’s your freedom. We do the hard part: we find the right places, check the prices and put it all into one clear plan with direct booking links. Then the decision is yours. Nobody pushes you into anything, and every booking is in your own name. No middleman, no surprises, no guessing. And if anything isn’t clear, you’ll hear from us, not from a call centre.
How quickly will I hear from you?
Within 24 hours, a real local replies to your request with the next steps. Once we’ve agreed on the plan, your personal itinerary follows, with every booking link in one place.
